MC gets beaten, he struggles, his enemies are saved by someone powerful, his enemies escapes, takes a while for him to be strong then be able to kill those enemies, even then, it will repeat his enemies escaping most of the time and let's not forget, his friends either dies or disappears, it is as if the whole world is filled with selfserving characters that only seeks to benefit themselves and people around them and almost nothing goes well for main character, then rinse and recycle, mix and match and tada we have the entire series, I dont find it fun watching donghua where it is like the author of the novel hates the main character so much

On a Chinese forum someone else was also recommending this donghua, hyping and raving about it, and he/she was downvoted to hell and the comments werent very nice either, glad I am not the one who doesnt like this donghua lol

There's a guy who keeps spamming posts about how wonderful this donghua is, I mean more power to him/her if he/she likes to watch the same recycled plots, and of course more power to those who likes watching this kind of donghua

don't get me wrong the first 70 ep were really good but then it kinda off feel off. so yeah I would probably give it the same. the only reason I still watch it is cuz I have been watching it for so long. other Chinese anime you will find good or great. And yes totally, the early arcs was good then everything became repetitive

Also Wu Shang Shen Di was good at the beginning major arc, it is a lot better than this donghua, but after he goes to a higher realm, it is pretty much the same thing over and over again, but overall it manages to do better than this one

You should give Dragon's Disciple a go, it just came out, think of it as a Chinese spin of Karate Kid
Zhu Tian Ji and Feng Qi Luoyang Zhi Shen Ji Shaonian also just came out, you might want to give those a go

Feng Qi Luoyang Zhi Shen Ji Shaonian is definitely not my cup of tea. also for Dragon's Disciple do you know if it is coming here? Zhu Tian Ji actually came out in 2d first on here it was so horrible. as I just can't get past how bad there 2d animations usually are and was so slow paced with everything. so is the 3d version of it better? Wu Shang Shen Di has been pretty good so far. Happy Chinese New Year!

Dragon's Disciple already came out, it came out yesterday, 3 episodes so far out of 30 episodes

Zhu Tian Ji, so far looks good, the animation is probably comparable to Wanmei Shijie but a lot better than Peerless Martial Spirit, but only the first episode

I'm not too worried about animation unless it's 2d as I have watched some with a little clunky 3d animation's but were great when it came to the 3 main aspects of why I watch anime action story and character development. I'm pretty sure you have mentioned one of them before it's the one about about the guy who gets reincarnated from being the most powerful magic user so sad it never got a second season.

Although our tastes might be different, I am pretty much the same in regards to a good story and character development over animations
I have an advantage over some of the viewers here in that I read the novel, although the studios often change things around, they usually follow some resemblance of the novel
Yes we are often at the mercy of the studio if we are to want more of the series, been waiting for Youjo Senki (Tanya the Evil) for a long time lol

I have read too many books in my life so I haven't read any light novels of anime. that's all I did when I was younger cuz we really didn't have better internet than dial up till I was 16 and I Still read novels till I was like 23. I used to read one or 2 books a day for years finishing 300 or 400 pages in 3 hours was a breeze. before interest was past dial up I used to watch anime on cartoon network lmao. I remember when Naruto first came out I watched it on their. and I really didn't use the internet for watching anime probably till I was 23 or 24. as growing up when I did you didn't have all these fancy electronics you have today. I remember when I was 18 I got my first phone it was a flip phone. smart phones didn't exist yet. we mainly used the internet to play video games and listen to music on YouTube when I was growing up. that was when people used to talk and socialize a lot. I'm 31 now I don't know why I'm saying all this stuff and you probably don't care.

Yeah I watched all those already, Bing Huo Mo Chu is part of Soul Land's world, and I first tried to watch Zhen Wu Dianfeng, thinking it was Martial Peak, and I was confused at the first episode until I realised that the name had one different word, Zhen, which means true, I thought there were some author dispute since Martial Peak was very popular and this "True" Martial Peak was someone who was competing against it lol

cool lol this is the English name for it The Peak of True Martial Arts. I wish it was Martial Peak love that manga. don't get me wrong some things are a bit repetitive but I love how the story is every changing and just goes with the flow. like every chapter is definitely worth the read never a stale moment.

Demon Magic Emperor/Demon Housekeeper manga is the absolute shizzle. I will be ecstatic if they make it into an anime. But I have to say, not only is the story good, but the artist seems to capture some of the most amazing poses and expressions of the mc really well. If not for that artist, Magic Emperor would still be good, but as good.
There are not a lot of Chinese manhua with good artwork, but more important than good artwork is the artists choice to capture the right moments with the right essence. Magic Emperor absolutely nails it in this respect, so it makes it interesting and exciting.
